| Dear Guy, | The 2008-09 school year is off to a great start! Our goal this year is to reach 41,000 San Diego and Imperial County students with Junior Achievement programs. With your help, we can do it!! Whether you volunteer, attend events or sponsor a school, we appreciate your support. | JA BizTown has a new name! | When Laurie McGrath, Chief Executive Officer of McGrath Development, and her mother, Carlee McGrath, visited JA BizTown and saw 5th grade students actually running the city, they loved the energy and enthusiasm of these young "adults for the day." Laurie and Carlee and their McGrath Family Foundation trustees decided to name the city, dramatically helping the JA mission to educate all the students of San Diego, both in their classrooms and in JA BizTown.
The students of San Diego and Imperial County, the JA Board of Directors and the JA staff are most grateful to the McGraths and welcome them as our newest JA sponsors to the JA family! We are looking for interns to work in The McGrath Family JA BizTown. If you are interested in being a part of this exciting learning environment, we want to hear from you! Please email your resume to bt_volunteers@jasandiego.org. | | | In-Class Volunteer Opportunities | | BizTown Volunteer Opportunities | | |
