Sarah Palin Could Only Cite One Supreme Court Case, Roe Vs. Wade

Katie Couric asked Sarah Palin if she knew another Supreme Court case other than Roe v Wade.

Katie Couric was met with, Silence. Sarah Palin could not cite another case by the Supreme Court. Much to the dismay of the McCain campaign, Katie Couric will play the question and silence tomorrow. Although the McCain campaign is complaining loudly so who knows if it will air.

But really, not one? Not even Bush Vs. Gore? Brown vs. Board of Education? Really? Does she spell potato P-O-T-A-T-O-E?

Tina Fey Repeats Palin Verbatim For Laughs

Sarah Palin's interview was such a disaster that if you watch the original interview, Tina Fey just said exactly what Sarah Palin said for the most part. How sad is that. Her interview was so pathetic, that just repeating what she said was frickin hilarious. Too funny, but just like I have said the McCain Campaign is a joke.

Update : Sarah Palin Echoes Obama On Pakistan

Oh wait John McCain just told Katie Couric that what Sarah Palin said about going after terrorists in Pakistan (echoing Obama), does not count because she was just talking to a voter, so talking to voters doesn't count. Yeah seriously he said it, look it up. Palin agreed even, sitting right next to him smiling.

Can we just end this thing right now. I just can't believe he has supporters...

McCain Cancels Letterman For Economy; Then Interviews With Katie Couric

John McCain canceled David Letterman tonight because he said he had to rush back to Washington to deal with the economy. Well when Letterman was at the point when McCain would of been on his show, he was surprised to find that McCain was in the building taping an interview with Katie Couric. Letterman then asked if he could give McCain a ride to the airport (catching him in a lie). McCain will not be going back to Washington until tomorrow it turns out. Yeah rushing back, no time.

Not to mention the look and swivel that Brian Williams did when she said it. Great TV. If I can find video I will post it, but I have found nothing so far. CBS Edits Another Major Gaffe By McCain

So when John McCain cry's that the press is in love with Obama, Does he not factor in the fact that the media has actually given him pass after pass. Like this second omission by CBS of a major McCain gaffe. A gaffe that really highlights his lack of thought and lack of knowledge of the situation. He touts this foreign experience yet a consistently gets it wrong on many foreign issues. Gaffe after gaffe ignored by the MSM. Gaffe's I might add if Obama were to commit it, would be covered like the OJ trial.

CBS News omitted a second McCain falsehood:
his characterization of Iraq war as
"the first major conflict since 9/11"


On the July 22 broadcast of the CBS Evening News, while airing portions of an interview anchor Katie Couric conducted that day with Sen. John McCain, CBS News did not air McCain's response to a question in which he characterized the Iraq war as "the first major conflict since 9/11," apparently disregarding the war in Afghanistan, which Couric addressed in her question and which began in October 2001. As Media Matters for America and others documented, CBS News also did not air McCain's false assertion that the 2007 U.S. troop surge "began the Anbar Awakening" and instead aired spliced video of McCain's interview with Couric, expunging the false statement and tacking on a response he gave to a different question.

Couric asked: "Sen. [Barack] Obama also told me, Sen. McCain, that the money spent on those additional troops, on the surge, might have been more effective had it gone to Afghanistan or even to a better energy policy in the United States. What's your response?" McCain replied: "The fact is we had four years of failed policy. We were losing. We were losing the war in Iraq. The consequences of failure and defeat of the United States of America in the first major conflict since 9/11 would have had devastating impacts throughout the region and the world." In fact, nearly a year and a half before the Iraq war, the United States initiated Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in order to "counter terrorism and bring security to Afghanistan." According to the Department of Defense, 554 Americans had lost their lives as a result of OEF and 2,257 had been wounded as of July 19.
