Will viralness of tirade harm Christian Bale's career?

Anyone who has seen The Machinist knows Bale takes his roles very seriously. I mean he dropped his weight almost 100 pounds to play that role; only Lonn Chaney using Piano Wire to distort his face for Phantom of the Opera can even compare. Point being, give the guy some slack, he takes his job seriously and gets pissed when he sees someone wrecking his vision or not putting the same effort he does. I think this is much ado about nothing, he is still going to get the roles in Movies based on his acting...
